Corpse

The thing about keeping a corpse around the house, the real bitch of it, are the obvious unpleasantries of the decomposition process. Sure, it’s not so bad initially…she may look a little pale– as though afraid –but she’s still just as lovely as the last time she was actually with you. Dancing with her is still enjoyable enough, even if you have to do all the work…just grip her firmly by the waist, and let her toes drag along to the sway of the music..

Rigor mortise sets in, but it’s ok… you can set her up in her chair, and keep her well dressed and nice to look at, at the very least, even though you can no longer move her..

But then the flesh begins to crumple and sink, and her chair gets damp and dusty, and you almost wish you could just toss the whole foul smelling thing into the dumpster like a mattress, but that’s much to hasty…she may yet snap out of it! She really may! Yet it is getting much harder to deny the improbability of that outcome.

The skin falls nearly completely away from the bone, and the gnarled hair drifts down to rest on the arms of the musty chair, and at last it is evident that back-tracking, even to just an earlier stage of decomposition, is impossible, and it is time to weep for your loss at last.

And then at last you wake to find the chair has dried out, and the dead skin has been carried away by ants, leaving only a clean and shiny skeleton behind. No longer befouled by transition, she is once again as close to she was in the flesh…serene, and elegant, though cold and silent. Just the thin frame of her person; uncomforting and indistinguishable…but once again beautiful, at the very least.

What makes you write something like that? You know when people write on OD, some write for fun,others write their journals, while others write have to have their work published. Wondering why?

RYN Your questions, one of the most important reasons that the marriages should be permitted is that the legal piece of paper permits family members to visit in the hospital, and in ICU etc, Right now, all over America, famliy members are turned away because they are not “legally ” related. That is wrong. And as far as the move on–just seems that you are a little afraid of committment to be against marriage on the larger scale -forother people. IF you don’t want to get married to someone, why does it bother you that someone else does want to marry someone? Yes, possibly that being gay might be somewhat out of the norm, since most people consider normal–to be heterosexual. After all, what really is normal? Is normal average? And if all the gays and lesbians came out, and were found to outnumber heteros , then would being gay be average ? and being hetero be the abnormal? No one really knows the answers to those questions. All I am saying is that if law abiding people want to marry an adult, they should be permitted to marry that adult. This is free America where ALMOST anything is legal, and almost anything can happen yet …n

It just seems so backwards to have hardened criminals who can marry whom they want to marry but law abiding people–are not permitted to marry the adult that they want to marry. To , me that is all backwards.

RYN , your last statement made me smile. it is sort of contradictory. you say, they do not deserve the ‘healthy normalcy– of marriage. If you read the newspapers, and look into history, you will see that for the most part, usually , marriage does not always automatically symbolize “healthy normalcy” . Being married, that is my point, is not rreally any symbol of healthy normalcy, if you take into considerations the divorces, murders, rapes, etc, and even child molestations that occur in some marriages. marriage does not equal normal. sorry, not trying to argue here, just giving my viewpoint.

RYN, lol, gee, why would I think you are morbid? here at this entry labeled corpse? oh, and “how old are you “. lol, not sure how youmean this but most times when people begin with that question, it’s re: dating lol. and probably you didn’t mean it that way, but anyways ,you might understand my reluctance about answering that. Why do you ask howold I am ? that is a serious question, you must have a particular reason. In the thousands of journals I read and left notes at, only two people have ever asked me how old I am . lol so why do youask?

haha, lol, ryn, you can not see that I am embarrassed about the question because i am not embarrassed about it. Generally, most times, it is my nature to need to know why someone asks something, especially when I do not know the person, and when I can’t “see” the reason for the question, either. I am somehow following the path of the aquarian, whose answer to most questions is “why” do you ask lol. it’s such a natural answer. And, you from your note, you seem to know so much about abuse, the people and what the male ones do to avenge etc, etc. so,you have arrived at those conclusions, how? Yes, I can guess, like you guessed that I was embarrassed however, my guess would not be the truth, since it only would be only my guess. RYN, as for age, to me, age has never been important, as I have known people in all ages, from young to old to almost gone (100 years old), and their ages had no reflection on their intelligence, usefulness or their personality. I am of legal age, well over legal age, yet, I am still the same person that I was 10 years ago, and will still be the same person 20 years from now. Yes, I am growing but never aging. peace.

RYN, our own governmenthas a website that fully details how to become a citizen, how to get papers etc, how to get sponsorship, etc. Yes, indeed, there are websites and there is information all over the place. If someone doesn’t have a computer, then they can reach out by calling. I figure this, if they are at the border, they can even stop and ask the border guards what the entrance procedure is Instead of just breaking into the country.

RYN: last I checked, which admittedly was more than 5 months ago, she had a pic up on her diary frontpage. So unless she’s gone to an FO frontpage even, or changed her authorname, she should be easy to find. lol.

RYN: She IS warm and fuzzy…until you really get to know her. Especially if you admit feelings for her… then she becomes a raging, manipulative bitch. Thing is the only successful (and calling it successful is being generous) way to deal with narcissists is to keep them at arm’s length, keep everything on a very superficial level, and NEVER, EVER do or say anything to contradict their wonderful little images of themselves as smart, kind, funny, etc… That’s mostly why narcissists get along so well on sites like this… they can play themselves up as the constant victim, and who’s going to naysay them? There’s nobody around to contradict their “interpretations” of events, and they get all the sympathy, adulation, etc, they want…
