Positive Changes
I don’t recall where I was in life when OD shut down in 2014. But now I can say many positive things have changed in my life. Maybe the circumstances of growing up? I’m not sure.
I meditate daily now, its changed my entire perspective on life, my patience, my acceptance, my compassion.
I have a dog, Radar, a whippet, whom I love to pieces.
I finished university in 2014 and this year I have finally found a job I quite like, working in a library system.
I’m finally financially stable and can support myself.
In 2015 I moved back to my small hometown and into my parent’s basement suite. It’s very convenient. It does have its drawbacks, but overall it’s nice.
I am happily single. This may be one of the biggest changes. I am thoroughly happy with where I am in life right now. I’ve embraced my introversion and spend a lot of time alone, which I love. I occasionally miss things about being in relationships, but those are usually very fleeting moments and then I remember all the things I love about being single.
I have been writing, in a paper journal, every single day since January 2015.
I have been taking at minimum 1 photo per day since January 2016. Today is day 702.
Here is a photo of Radar (and Koda, my brothers dog) from earlier in the day. She is genuinely the best part of my life.
