more surgery

 yeah, meant to write about this yesterday, but didn’t get around to it.

my mouth had been hurting, almost two months after my wisdom tooth surgery, really really bad, to the point where i couldn’t eat a normal meal.  been in 3 or 4 times, and the doc said, each time, "Nah, its healing fine, no worries"

finally went in again on monday and basically demanded a new xray, and this is what they found:

see the bottom right corner, where it’s all healed up and stuff?

see the bottom left corner, where it’s not healed at all?  that’s because it’s not healed at all.  why is it not healed at all?  because of the white stuff around that hole, aka INFECTED BONE.

they immediately scheduled me for another surgery on wednesday morning, meaning i took today, thursday, and friday off…

i had to cancel hanging out with a small cute adorable baby, i had to put off plans for a fun two-month celebration with the girlfriend, and instead, i’m tripping on codeine all day, with gatorade being the only "meal" i’ve had since 7pm last night.

bah

i just hope this fixes the problem.  

surgery seemed to go ok, they packed the hole full of anti-bacterial stuff with some numbing agents in it too, so it doesn’t hurt much right now…  finally stopped bleeding around 2pm…  the girlfriend came over around 7 or so and we watched some lost, how i met your mother, and californication.  made me feel loved and whatnot.

on the docket for tomorrow:  more of the same, MAYBE some shells ‘n cheese., since half my mouth functions just fine…  

i think that’s all i’ve got.  time to take some more ibuprofen.
