Weekend Recap

So, Friday went much better at work than the previous days. Mr. Cranky Guest didn’t come to the desk to yell at me. I  was by myself for most of the day as Management was in some stratigic planning thing for the second day in a row.
There was a large group of people that came in. I vaugley recalled seeing that that they’d be arriving Friday but it didn’t sink in until I seen the bus pull up outside the hotel. I was like  "Oh shit".  I didn’t have any keys or even knew if the rooms were ready for them. It was like 4:30 in the afternoon, they pilled into the lobby, which isn’t very big to begin with. Ah well things went smoothly and I had everyone checked in and on their way within 15 minutes.
Oh yeah!  So the Sales Manager apologized to me as well for his actions the day before. I think what hurt the most is that he has praised me and my skills for months now whenever he’s been in a bind with something, then he turned around and got angry over the a screw up that I had created, resolved and had happy people before he even knew about it.. So yeah. I’m just glad he apologized.
Friday night I went to Colin’s workplace and waited for him to get off work. My brother joined me for a little bit then went home. I had asked a friend to join me but she never gave me a response. Her loss I guess.

Saturday, lets see. Colin and I went to a nice lunch at a local Pub. Dashed over to the book store. I wanted to pick up this book called "How To Draw Manga". I had spotted it when we were in there a few days before but never really looked at it until I went to buy it on Saturday. It wasn’t exactly what I expected it to be. I was hoping for some drawing techniques and things that would help improve my skills.Oh well!
After the book store we hit up CD Plus in the mall. Colin and I hummed and hawed over movies, games and music for a hour or more. I walked out with Neon Genesis Evangelion, and 3 posters. Haha.
After the CD Store it was time for Colin to head to work.
I went to the hair salon where I had about 7-8 inches of my hair cut off! My last hair cut was back in June before I went on holidays. So I’ll have to post pictures soon. I’d do before and after photos but recently I haven’t been very photogenic.
After my hair appointment I went home and relaxed for about an hour then I went to my friend Lisa’s house. She has 3 kids and I’m their "Aunty Bev".
It was great. I came up to the door and Gabe answered the door and then proceeded to yell down the hall to his mom "MOM! AUNTY BEV CUT HER HAIR!" then my neice mara came to give me a hug and went down the hall way  to tell Lisa that I had cut my hair. It was cute. I love these kids.
We had a wonderful dinner and watch a couple movies. The Sixth Sense and Trainspotting. I have never seen Trainspotting before. What a bizzare movie…with a very very young and might I add, very sexy Ewan McGregor in it.

Sunday was kind of relaxing. We slept in and enjoyed the morning together. We went shoping at Wal*Mart.
There was a slight awkwardness there. We went to Electronics because Colin was going to look for another game to buy for his X-Box 360, and we ran into Tim and Jen. Now I’m not even really sure what to call Tim and Jen. They don’t fit in the friend category as they barely talk to us outside of the occasional times we run into each in the public, but I’ve been assured that we are friends by Tim at least. So I don’t know. He said hi, and I said hello back, but it was like my mouth stopped working after that. My heart jumped as though I had been startled. I don’t know. I think I just don’t like sitting in this limbo of  "are they friends or are they not". I’m prepared to deal with whatever is chosen, just not how it is right now.  I guess that’s enough of that.
So we came home after and relaxed. Which is where I’ve been for the rest of the day.
I think I might go watch Ranma 1/2 for a bit.

I didn’t know Ewan MacGregor was in Trainspotting but now I’m more interested in it.;) My mom bought the video a while ago and I told her I really didn’t think it was her kind of movie so we haven’t watched it.

My weekend was a very interesting extended weekend… involving something called winter break… maybe I’ll write about it later…

Sounds restful. Glad to hear things are slowly looking on the brighter side 🙂 Tim and Jen need to stop eating the paste. I will be up there sometime between now and Thursday, leaving on Monday. We’ll have to get together for a beer or somethin. Anywho, I should snooze. Don’t work too hard!

Tim and Jen are weird anyways. Especially her. I wouldn’t worry about them. Stick with the friends you already know are friends.

I’m glad you got an apology : ) Not enough people do that these days.

Sounds like a nice weekend and I’m glad your boss apologized! *hugs*

I love Trainspotting!! ‘Course there’s not too many movies out there that I don’t love. Take care.
