25 weeks 3 days- Photos and Words

It’s now August 3rd, which means I have August…September…October…and then she has permission to come anytime! (I’m hoping she holds out until at least Halloween. I don’t even care if she’s a week or two "late" as long as she’s not too early!)

3 months. I can’t even believe that…
I’ve grown tremendously the last couple of weeks.

This was on July 22nd:

I weighed myself sometime in the last week or two and was up 16 pounds. The last few days I could tell baby was growth spurting like crazy so I weighed again tonight and I’ve gone up to 21 pounds gained. That’s the first big leap I’ve had like that, and it’s pretty much all still belly (and boob). In fact, I’d say my maternity pants are even fitting looser in the leg the last couple of weeks, and I’m not eating an excessive amount, so I’m not worried at all.

People who I work around (in the surrounding buildings) have just started to realize. They never straight up ask me, they’ll ask Jonathan or my co-workers and so I’ll be walking by them and they’ll suddenly be like, "Congratulations! When are you due! What are you having?". It’s funny. 

Baby Girl has been quiet these last few days, I’m guessing due to the crazy growing! She moves around a lot during/after I eat but other than that, she’s pretty much been sleeping. Right now she’s doing something strange right behind my belly button. She’s funny, if I put my hand on my belly/prod at her, she stops moving and starts again as soon as I move my hand. We also have a little game where I will "find" her…as soon as I do she wiggles away to a new spot and doesn’t move again until I figure out where she is.

As grateful as I am for the time I have left, I am getting to that point where I can’t wait to meet her. Where it’s all getting very real that there is a tiny little person inside of me who I get to bring home and love forever, and I can’t wait to meet her and see what she looks like and see her little personality. I have the feeling she’s going to be pretty quiet and calm, if she’s like her in utero self. I also have the feeling she will really like to eat…

I wonder about her a lot, how much she’ll weight and when she’ll decide to come. If it will be in the middle of the night or during the day. I wonder what labor will be like. I’ve started preparing my list of a million questions to ask at my next midwife appointment. I want to know about refusing hep b, vitamin k, and the eye goop, delaying cord clamping, etc…the only thing I have really asked about so far is the placenta, which they said is mine to keep and do whatever I want with, just be sure to let them know in advance so now mistakes are made. I hope they’re as chill about everything else.

I’m having a baby shower on the 29th and I am very excited!

The only thing that is really stressing me about lately is finding a groomer, because I still haven’t. Everything else I am either letting go or putting off for now because nothing else really matters. Our roommate is out now and we’re getting the house together so I no longer feel like we’re going to bring her home to a disaster, and I’m not stressing about other things because I know we can figure it out day to day. I have 3 months and I don’t have 3 months worth of things to do. I’m saving money and things are good at work so I’m making good money so I don’t need to stress there (even with our roommate moving out).

I just realized I am falling asleep so I am going to end this here for now.

Oh, one more little thing: I cannot imagine going through a pregnancy without chiropractic care. I didn’t get any until 22 weeks, but now I’ve been going 1-2 times a week, and it’s the most helpful thing in the world. It eases pretty much every discomfort and I am sleeping SO much better.
