I’M BAAACK….

This is the first chance I have really had to come here since I got back! 🙁 I was able to use my hubby’s laptop ONCE while I was away and I could only read up on a few fav’s, not enough time to write.The trip wasn’t exactly what I expected, it was too BUSY!!! I packed a lot into 5 days. I drove from Calgary to Edmontonon Monday, which is about a 3 & a half hour drive. I drove with one of my hubby’s work buddies, who is HOT I might add! I drove him to Edmonton because he is working out of there for a few days and he can’t drive right now…because of a DUI so he lost his licience for a year. Anyway I met my sister at the West Edmonton Mall after I dropped him off at his hotel. My sister and her hubby and my cute little nephew showed me all around that HUGE mall! It was fun to spend time with them and SHOP of course, what an amazing place that is, I wish my daughter was with me she would have loved it! After that we went to the place where they are staying and spend the evening there. They have only lived out there for two months so they don’t have their own place yet.

The next day I just hung out with my sister and her babe until about 4:30pm and then I was on the road again! This time I was on the unfamiliar road alone, no one to guide me back to Calgary:( I was a little nervous but it is pretty easy once you are out of the city and on the highway. I drove for about an hour and a bit and remembered we have friends in Red Deer with I would be passing by so I called my hubby to see if he would care that I drop in there without him?! He was too cusy to get there so I went alone! I called them and said “hey I’m just driving by can I come and see you guys, it’s only been about 7 years!!” She was shocked and said “sure we woudl LOVE to see you come on by!!!” I hung out with them for the evening and then I decieded to stay over and leave in the morning, too scary to travel alone in the dark late at night. The next morning bright and eary (because they had to work and there daughter had school) I was on th road again!

Finally back in Calgary and I spend the day sitting in the appartment my hubby’s company rented to work out of. It was kinda boring and he was busy 🙁 but I was tired from all the driving I had done! Later that afternoon my hubby and I went to some shops in the city and spent some more $$…I love shopping 😀 After that we picked up his boss from a meeting and he took us out to dinner to a really nice place called Moxy’s (sp?), it was really nice.  (as far as eating out goes!)

Most of the trip was spent stressing over food and eating out and messed up routines! I hate that part so much, I hate feeling “obligated” to eat and having my routine messed with and no privacy and pretending to be normal! Why can’t I just be normal?

I did get a lot of compliments from the guys out there that work with my hubby…I will admit it made me feel good! His boss is only 30 and he flirting with me all the time, you know harmless flirting that is! His younger brother was too but I was used to him because I know him better and I have always thought he was cute!;) But his boss I never really knew that well until now! I must say I now think both brothers are quite cute! His wife was there for a bit too with their two little boys. That didn’t stop him from harmless flirting, neither did the fact that my hubby was right there!hehe Oh well I was flattered, good thing my hubby and I are not the jealous type huh?!

On thursday I got on the plane by mysefl and headed home alone (again) to my girls! My friend “‘G” picked me up and drove me home from the airport, it was nice to see him! That night and everynight after that has been BRUTAL, my babe has been sick and up every hour all thru the night for THREE nights now and I am all by myself…grrrrrr 🙁 I am very cranky and tired!! It sucks big time. My hubby comes home tonight and HE is on duty, I need some sleeeeeep!

Well that’s my trip…not exactly what I had in mind but it was still a bit of a break from life, my life anyway! Got to go baby is cranky! Whatelse is new?!?  🙁
