Lose the Safety Net
Fear being a word that everyone knows the meaning of. There isn’t one person that can’t say they don’t fear something or someone. There are different kinds of fear, some worst than others. Although a fear or fears isn’t one of the best things we have its not one of the worst either.
Growing up your fears change so much, like being a little kid it can be so simple like being afraid of the dark, or being alone in a house. As you get older you fears become something more, like failing school or if your boyfriend cheating on you. So much can change like I said.
The real question is when is it time to face those fears? Sooner or later you have to stand up and say, enough is enough I can do this. No its not going to be easy and its going to be scary, however it has to be worth it in the end right?
There were so many things I was afraid of, as each day passes I over come so many things. I’ve learned I can’t have someone hold my hand every step of the way. I had to let everything wall fall and pick my self up. Stand there even with tears in my eyes and face the things I never thought I could.
We have to let those safety nets go and walk across the wire. You can’t always have something protect you from the world, or you will never make it anywhere in life. Learning you do get hurt and you will lose things from time to time. The more you learn the stronger you become on your own.
So toss aside the safety nets, and take steps closer to the edge, you’ll be ok if you fall down.
