Les Miserabler *EDIT*

Under the weather has moved to the basement. I have rarely felt so yucky.
My head feels twice its normal size ( no, Casey, I meant the one on my shoulders ), my throat is more raw than a good prime rib, and with each cough I discover a new place that aches more that I ever thought it could.
You know how weird it is to actually cough and sneeze simultaneously? It’s like discovering Lola while in the middle of a kiss.

Anyway, as I mentioned last entry, Jasmine (seems like an appropriate pseudonym) sent me the following home remedy to which I promised a review. Well, I have a partial one, as the ingredients have changed a bit for the circumstances. The recipe:

Jasmine dragon pearls tea with
~ Honey
~ Cayenne pepper
~ Single malt scotch

The tea is smooth, though a touch feminine. I plan to experiment later with either green tea or Earl Grey. The honey is sweet, goes well with the tea, and coats the throat nicely. The Cayenne pepper, while scary, actually was not noticed. Really, I couldn’t taste it at all. Granted, I only used a pinch (as suggested). The scotch was left off this time. I am on codeine, and the two do not mix well.

*EDIT*

All in all, I enjoyed the tea.

That entry ended abruptly because I went downhill fast. Nausea and light headedness hit me *real* fast, so I went back up to bed. I ended up sleeping about 5 hours. Not to mention that I just went through a coughing jag that I wouldn’t wish on a Jehovah’s Witness. Rarely does a illness beat me down, but this one is winning.

Does your ladyfriend happen to hail from the southern part of the country? Because that’s a folk remedy common around here–well, save for the tea (I never thought about that, could help it go down better!) I hope you feel better soon, pal.

I do hope you start to feel better. I’ve had bronchitis before and it’s just plain horrible. *hugs*

I know a nice Jehovas Witness. I’m waiting to see when their beliefs get really crazy, lol. I hope the nap went a long way to fixing you up. I hate being dizzy.
