ST.LUKE

the caution wet floor signs remain long after the tile is completely dry, im in a hospital where people are born, where people die. For the first time in the whole month that we have been together i saw you weep and it made me cry, im sorry but everyone has to die. The late late show plays on the tv, a woman spills coke on the floor, i wipe it up with kleenex, she thanks me. I buried all my elders so long ago in the years that came before, so much life spilt out on the floor. Lets just mop it again, push forward my friend, the old live and the young die, hell bleeds and all the angels cry… Who are they? And what does it matter what “they” say. I drove you down the mountain in the middle of the night because i would anything to make sure you’re alright… Because thats all that matters to me. EWD2013
