Season’s Greetings!
Things have been busy getting ready for Christmas. For days now I’ve been trying to find a few moments to pop in here and write a couple of lines. So much time has gone by I was pleasantly surprised to see I wasn’t blocked from my diary. Yay!
I had a really nice Christmas yesterday with my dad and sister Brenda’s family. Then today the whole family got together for our celebration. We did a pot luck dinner and did our gift exchange game. We all had a very good time. I’ve got one more day off before getting back to work on Wednesday. So, tomorrow I’m going out to Mississauga to spend the afternoon with my friend Hellen. Every year we stuff a Christmas stocking and exchange them. She has great imagination and comes up with some neat little gift ideas, so it’s always fun to open the stockings. Plus we get a change to visit and have a few laughs. 😀
A few more days and it’s the New Year. I’ve nothing planned for New Year’s Eve night, but I’m taking my nephew to the ‘panto’ for the afternoon matinee. The panto is a pantomime play. This one is called Snow White and the Group of Seven. I’ve heard it’s very funny and the audience (a mix of adults and kids) can verbally take part in the play by cheering or booing at the cast members.
Well, I’d better go, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, Hanuka, Soltice or whatever you celebrate. Best wishes to you and your families for a healthy, happy and peaceful new year!
With warmest hugs.
A diary now takes sx months of inactivity to be deleted according to the head honcho Family get-togethers are a very good thing. My kids have families of their own and celebrate Christmas at their homes; then we have a big get together here for 12th Night
