Happy St. Patrick’s Day
I know, I know…I’m late with it but as they say, better late than never. 😀
My sister Brenda, who by the way is now working full time as a Health Centre receptionist, was looking for some St. Patrick’s Day pictures to use for decorating the office several weeks ago so decided to Google the internet. Well in a total ‘Oh My God!’ moment she came across this …
It was taken 2 years ago at the St. Patrick’s Day parade here in Toronto. The photographer
didn’t know his subject’s name and it was a freaky coincidence that Brenda found it. Imagine
her surprise to find our Dad in this wonderful and artistic photo. We were all blown away by it.
It’s been a quiet night. Didn’t go out to celebrate although I did dress in green in honour of
the day. But I did treat myself to a large glass of Bailey’s. Slainte! (grin) Tomorrow’s
the parade and it’s supposed to warm up to plus 1 or 2 degrees. Oh yay!
Another bit of news is that I’ve been on the family reunion committee since September last
year planning a dinner and dance on April 28th to celebrate the 50th anniversary of coming to
Canada from Ireland. We’ve rented a Legion Hall, and we’ve got the Deejay and Caterer all
set. So far we’ve got 114 people coming with a possible final number of 140. Look out for one
great party! ;D
Anywho, I’d better run for now. Have to get up early tomorrow. Take care my friends!
Before I go here’s a few pictures of Ireland that you might like…
This is one of my favourties…
Hugs!!!
Wow!!!, thats a lot of family to have since coming to Canada 50 years ago.

Lovely. I still want to take R to Ireland someday, partly because it’s wonderful and partly because of his last name. With an evil grin…

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, just a tad belatedly! (I’m stunned to see you writing, and my actually catching it, since I’m not on very regularly, nowadays.) What beautiful pictures of a beautiful place! I’ve never been there, but I have a sister-in-law from there. They do say that ours is the Emerald City, but…. I don’t think it compares to these pictures….. take care~
