Snowpocalypse Part II
On my mother’s 60th birthday the DC metro area had a blizzard. We got like 14 inches of snow, and the city was shut down for like 3 days. Today? LMAO, today? We have 2+ feet of snow!
I know that you all that live in snowy states may say "that’s nothing!" but dude, I don’t live in a snowy area. Like, at all. Normally our total snow tally for the year is 14 inches! This right here is bananas. It’s like mother nature is gunning for us this season, but you know what? I can dig it.
We’ve been warned about this snow all week long. Most of us have prepared all week long. I went to the grocery store on Wednesday AND Thursday night and it was bananas! For instance, Thursday night i got in the grocery store at 7:30, in the line at 8, and out the door at…9:20! Pure craziness.
Hmm, yeah, that’s what it was like around these parts. And this is what it looked like this morning:
And it’s even worse now. I know I will be snowed in until Monday at least. AND THEN it’s suppose to snow Tuesday night! Oy vey!
J was suppose to work his part-time job last night. He was going to be stuck there at least until tomorrow night, but when he got there and there was already 6in of snow on the ground at 7pm, he decided to come home. On his way home he got a flat tired, but thank GOD he had a normal size tire in his trunk, and was able to make it home.
So this weekend will be dedicated to cleaning, cooking, and eating. And since my internet keeps shutting off on me (booo) I’mma shut this down. We’re about to walk to the national mall area. Later gators.
God Speed,
Reina
