She’s Haunting My Life
How was everyone’s Christmas? Mine was decent. This year Christmas was stressful. Because I just started working right before Thanksgiving, I had to wait until the week before Christmas to start my Christmas shopping. That meant everything else got pushed back to – gift wrapping, decorating, grocery shopping, etc. It was NOT the business! Ugh. Christmas Eve found me stressed, crying on the couch with Jonathan trying to comfort me. I was missing ingredients, hadn’t wrapped any giftss and it was like, 9pm. Every grocery store known to man was closed. Long story short, we found a CVS and I was able to get some stuff from there.
Christmas Day I woke up, brushed my teeth, and went with Jonathan to the tree to open up gifts. He got me the latest tivo, thank God! The tivo I had was the second tivo they had come out with and very old needless to say! He also got me a cute sweater from Old Navy. I got him Wii, Super Mario for Wii, two shirts, and Sexual cologne, yummy! He was so geeked over the wii, couldn’t believe I got it for him :~) Anywho, after the gift opening, I went right into cleaning and cooking. I made Monkey Bread for breakfast (yum!) and then went to get dressed. How’d I look?
Anyway, I ended up making Chicken Cacciatore for lunch. I was suppose to make chicken jambalaya with that but dude, I was done! Exhausted! Beat! Down for the count. I couldn’t make another thing. I had just finished putting out the food when they pulled up. We had salad, chicken cacciatore, party punch, and monkey bread. My dad brought over sweet potatoe pie, but everyone wanted monkey bread lol. Ok, so this is where I wanted to strangle my dad. We all remember G right? Yeah yeah yeah, long ago and faraway memories, but darnit, she just will NOT die! We’re sitting there eating the salad when I start talking about my friend Tomika. My dad says "is that the girl raising her sisters children?" *GULP* "you know, the one raising her niece and her nephew?" " Uhh, no dad, that’s Regina, anyway…" "Oh, how’s she doing?" "Oh, I don’t know, but so Tomika…" Dude, I was sweating bullets. I think we all know that Jonathan isn’t fond of Regina, and I’m not fond of her name being spoken in my house since he isn’t fond of her lol. Thankfully J didn’t say anything, and you KNOW I’m not gonna bring it up. Huh. I like my life. I just keep getting this eerie feeling that she’s gonna pop back up. Maybe it’s because I work 4 blocks from where we use to work, or maybe she just really is about to pop back up, I don’t know, le sigh. I need a drama free 2010.
After that we opened more gifts! My dad got me two pair of boots that I tried to fake like I didn’t know existed lol. I picked them out and was with my mom when she purchased them lol. She buys’em and my dad pays her back later. My mom got me a coach purse, which I thought was hilarious. We got each other the same purse in different colors lol. We could’ve just said hey, save your money and buy yourself something lol. She also got me these neon socks I wanted (don’t judge me), puma’s, coach sunglasses, Microsoft Office Suite, and a wireless printer/scanner/copier thingy. Pretty good Christmas indeed.
After that it was off to J’s family house, and that was tiring. We didn’t make it back home until after 11pm. I was purely exhausted! I took Monday off without pay, and I’m glad I did. I slept for 75% of the day. Work this week has been uber slow. There’s like 5 people there. Tomorrow is going to suck monkey balls. Pray for me. Bleh. If I don’t get back on here, Happy New Years!
God Speed,
Reina
