NoJoMo #13

It’s D&D Sunday!  I’m excited.  I actually set up a blog with my character’s journal because our DM is so awesome that I simply had to write down the story.  I was totally in love with my heroic tier character, but decided to retire her when we moved to paragon tier and now I have another character who I love for entirely different reasons.  The DM and I were giving each other a little grief this week, I thought he didn’t like the way I was playing my character and he didn’t think we were catching the plot hooks he was laying out for the group, but we’ve resolved it and hopefully we’ll be kicking ass in today’s session.  

Sorry if D&D isn’t your thing, I just love it and it’s my weekly "me" time where I get to be a grown-up with interests outside my kids – not that I don’t adore my kids, but I need some time to myself too!  I find that so many of the women I know seem to think they’re not allowed to be anything but "mom" once they have kids, and I tried that but I was just miserable.  DH is really good about letting me have time to myself and pursue outside interests.  He’s such a great guy, too many husbands/fathers seem to think the kids are primarily the wife’s responsibility.  

Anyhow, that’s my plan for today.  I’m waiting to hear from my friend B if she’s riding with me today, if not I might take the motorcycle – the weather shouldn’t be too cold today, and DH put saddlebags on the motorcycle so I can take my gaming stuff without being weighed down by a backpack (I noticed last weekend that it was affecting my posture – apparently I slouch when I’m wearing the pack, which makes my back hurt by the time I get where I’m going).  

Off to finish typing up my notes from last week’s session…
