Some of the most beautiful songs
Many songs come and go, but some are so beautiful that they need better recognition.
Listed are some of my personal favs. Usually i crank the rock, but every now and then i need one of these dittys.
1) U2 (Bad, All I want is you). I ignored the obvious choices. They have done a lot of great songs, but these two stand out to me. Bad, is in my opinion their best song, and is from their best album. The notes he hits in it are so power! Give a listen to the rattle and hum live version if you can. All i want is you again i think has excellant vocals.
2) Bjork (Come to Me) Bjork has the weirdest voice of all time. Its that weird kind of hot, like Uma Thurmen. Im pretty sure, that if youve never heard her before you will either really like her, or find her terrible. I dont think theres any middle ground with Bjork. Love this song though.
3) Bruce Springsteen (secret Garden) This song has such a simple chord progression, but its one of the most beautiful things ive ever heard. Chan would agree with me on this one, it makes you wanna dance with a lady.
4) Prince (Sometimes it snows in April) This song was from the Parade album which was hailed for its hit song Kiss, but why was this gem overlooked. Prince on the piano, playing some of his finest. Again showing that sometimes a simple chord progression is the most effective.
5) Madonna (Frozen) Im not a huge Madonna fan, but i absolutly love this song. She may me a complete sloot, but she can still perform some good songs.
I will think of more later. Sometimes you forget songs until you hear them, and then it reminds you how awesome they are. Any particular song hit you?
the last three songs i’ve been listening to a bunch: sitting, by cat stevens. his voice is nice and raw, gravelly. good stuff. mr. Jones by Counting crows. not a band i listen to, but i heard someone do this song at karaoke, and gave it a listen. such a happy, feel good song. can’t stop feeling by franz ferdinand. off their new album, which so far is decent. funky bass, and dancy beat.
