princes superbowl show

ANyone see it?

Personally i dont give a crap about football, (sorry football fans).  But i had to watch for the Prince show at half time.  It was pretty dang good.  Even though it was pouring rain, he still rocked it out.  I loved the foo fighers cover, and think that the solo in that was the best one of the night.  Purple rain was better then his usual versions, but still nothing like tokyo dome( for the non prince fans out there, that was his best version of purple rain ever)  Apparetnly many of the critics also thought it was awesome, some ranking it as the best halftime show ever, beating out such acts as u2 and the stones.  Take that Mick Jagger.  Actually i like the stones too.  But yeah, awesome performance.

For those of you unfamiliar i suggest you search youtube for purple rain and look for any live footage from his love/sexy tour.  You will not be disappointed.

IF youre really bored, and want to hear some of my favorite female singer of all time, youtube kylie minogue showgirl tour where she sings your disco needs you.  Those of you that dont think she has a voice, or is nothing compared to high pitched divas like mariah carey and the like can go to hell.  Listen to the end notes she does on this song.  I love her.

caught you on the front page. Kylie is awesome 🙂 Not everyone has to have a rediculous range, and anyway she’s co-written a lot of her own material. I esp liked the Impossible Princess album.

That half time show rocked. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was surprised at how many covers he did, but loved the fact that he didn’t really stop between songs. He just kept playing song after song. Not to mention, the show with the lights and the dancers and the solos and the marching band. That was pretty wicked.

His solo for while my guitar gently weeps at the rock and roll hall of fame has got to be the best solo Ive ever heard in my life. That video alone put prince at number one on my favorite guitarists of all time list, not to mention favorite all around musician and singers as well

Yes I watched and I loved. The man never seems to let down live, EVER. Also to the comment aboove me, the RnR Hall of Fame performance is great especially seeing George Harrison’s son geek out behind Prince as he went off. My personal fave performances has to be from the Rave Un2 the Year 2000 concert when Prince does his blues breakdown. Ugh, just killer.

I agree with you about the Football, Ades… who the hell cares? However, nothing will beat the greatest entertainer of all time in ’93. All of the songs were his, the crowd wouldn’t shut up and completely participated, he did it in broad daylight without 60% of his show being fancy lights, and 14 years later I still get goose bumps. Sorry Prince, ya’ just don’t cut it for me…

the paper said prince wasn’t all that good. but then again, it was the 24hour, and that paper can lick a chode. but the best guitar solo ever? jack white playing death letter live at john peel’s house. dallas has a copy of the cd.

is prince still a witness??

February 8, 2007

Highly doubtful… pretty sure it just gave him confirmation that “he’s wonderful” and just enough faith to resurrect his career.

did anyone else notice his incredible use of physical double-entendre? the way he swept his custom symbol guitar into such extravagent phallic positions projecting risque shadows onto a large sheet that it made the head spin? no? anybody? ahem, i’m going to take a chance and play the inactive “witness” card.
