original age of empires

Played a round of age of empires the other day, and was thinking how great a game it is.  It came out in the 90s sometimes, and graphically is pretty outdated.  But its still fun, and i like it more then its sequels.  Its also nice in that it will run on pretty much any computer, and is very simple to understand.  Its not as complicated, or takes as long as games like Empire Earth.  Now that ive all nerded you out, heres some even more nerding.

Everyones got certain units they like, im a big fan of cavalry and priests.  The priests convert all the stuff, including buildings, while your fast moving horsemen can take out any catapults or ballistas they send your way.  Yup, what a great game.

Now lets completely change subject.  Anyone watching the playoffs.  If you havent been, Vancouver is doing really awesome.  Goaltending has been stupendous.

And yet another subject change.

Another great concert to soon add to my rosters, im going to see the Doors in a few weeks.  I know, its not the same with Jim not around, but therse not a whole lot i can do about that.  Im also disappointed that they are no longer using Ian Astbury, but i can understand why since hes been touring with the CULT, best band ever!  Anyways, the doors are using the lead guy from Fuel which im not too familiar with, but ill let everyone know how it sounds after.
