The Myth of Leisure Time
So.
Last week I actually said this: “In January I think I get to coast for a bit..” *sound WRONG answer button*
Silly me.
As it turns out, I won’t be happily slapping color on the walls. I won’t be coasting a bit, or becoming a more present wife or friend. I won’t be catching up on normal about-the-house things, or sewing bathroom curtains or leisurely drinking chai while researching commedia dell’ arte for the next play.

BECAUSE….they’re baaaaack. The fairies are back.
They pull my hair and make faces and eat my chocolate truffles and keep me up waaaaay too late. The studio is a flurry of paints and pens and papers and exacto knives (VERY dangerous around Mustardseed)
And I could not be happier.
(and Sunil, they’re heading for your place next. Do you have a fencing mask and a tennis racquet? You may need those things….)

thank you for your helpful note. we had a big talk last night, and talked out our fears and concerns and even about our commitment. I’m hypersensitive to the anger thing, but also think it was time, and smart, to tell him this is not a repeat pattern I’m willing to watch form. I did the supportive, understanding girlfriend thing already. And I hope it makes sense that I put my foot down and said this cant continue to have me as the target. I also acknowledged that he does have control of his anger – his own anger scares him and I think it was important to show him that he doesnt get mean and dirty at all, and that he is capable of choosing where he will target his anger. he is hurt to realize that this threatens my trust and safety, and will avoid it at all costs. I hope I’m handling this well. it scared us to see the risk of loss of each other, we are willing to work together. it was an intense night. but it feels right that we’re talking about this and resolving it now.

RYN: I would never EVER top laughing if my MIL started screaming about a Busy Bee. “HER BUSY BEE! YOU GO FIND HER BUSY BEE!” Absolutely a documentary, you just know those people drip crazy! Be well,
