Portfolio (Photo Heavy)

This is repeat stuff for many of you who are my family and favorites. I just can’t figure out how to post photos into the Art & Artists Circle that I’ve been visiting and enjoying here in OD, so I am making a portfolio entry as a link. Please ignore if you’ve been here, seen that!

Somehow I can’t just stick to one medium. If I could, I would probably be much better at a least one art form. But I just have too much fun playing around. I have enjoyed life drawing, illustration, graphic design, photography, art direction, floral design, clothing/costume design, wall murals, faux painting, oil painting, color pencil, caricatures, cartoons, fantasy/fairy tale art, children’s illustration, pottery & clay, jewelry-making, silk painting, and almost anything I can get my hands on (or in).

Pen and ink was my first love—especially with the discovery in high school of the marvelous even ink flow of Rapidograph pens. These older drawings are approx. 16″ x 20″

I’m not sure what the story is with this fairy. Something or other has really made her mad.

And I’m not certain about these riders either. But they’re probably all wizards.

“Aquarius” from a Zodiac series.

Color pencil work has also been a favorite..

This is a recent illustration for our summer Shakespeare production used on brochures, posters, etc.

I’ve combined a couple suggestions from Open Diarists and call this illustration “Akyra Interrupted” (Do you see a story here, Dallandrah?)

This was a gift to some dear friends.

A couple illustrations for a CD card (go to cradleofwings.com for more info on this family collaboration)

Llynna–my favorite character from the trilogy “The Chalice and the Blade” by my friend Glenna McReynolds

An illustration from an unpublished story written by our own “Act Natural”

An illustration for a future CD Lullabye book called “Whispery Moon”

Mixed media Illustration/photography work for a fantasy wedding special in a magazine spread.

Some clay work for my little company called “IttiBitties”

This is a special order wedding cake topper (that took DAYS to make!)

A beginning oil painting experiment..

And some costume design work…

And just for fun, a Dr. Seuss inspired cake!

Fantastic work!

Adagio, your work is incredible, simply incredible. When I saw your entry title (“……Photo Heavy”), I knew that I was in for a real treat!! And, boy, was I ever! Thank you! : )

May 9, 2006

They’re all amazing! Sadly, the ability to produce art as always eluded me. *sob* On the bright side though, I can always appreciate others’ creations. 🙂

May 9, 2006

…I’m speechless and in total awe.

May 9, 2006

You rock…but then again, I think I’ve been telling you that for several years now! xo,

Fantastic! I followed the link from the OD boards, Adagio – but of course you showed up in my Favorites, too. I love them all. You are such a talented woman.

May 9, 2006

You do such wonderful art !! Thank-you for sharing it with us !!!

May 9, 2006

AMAZING and inspiring! I’m sooooo envious of all that talent! : )

I love everything here, but I think my favorite today (because today is what is, which is, I don’t know what) is the first “Midsummer Night Dream” poster. Oh my gosh! I love that so. I really do think I should just send Morgan to you for a few weeks some year so that she can follow you around and dig her hands into these things. You’re amazing, just amazing.

It’s all so wonderful! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Wow. I don’t know what else to say. Just amazing, you have such a gift.

Very cool!!!

Those are all so very amazing. So professional, so real. I am amazed.

SOOoooooo fabulous! 😀 I love your illustration, and painting, and costumes, and all forms of your art! B. loves it too. We’re neither one doing art anymore, but we both used to, and it’s clear that you are a fine artist. Thanks for sharing the beauty 🙂 Hugs,

May 10, 2006

I still Looooove that cake.

May 10, 2006

You are so talented, it’s unbelievable! My gosh! Love the Dr. Suess cake, too! Thank you so so much for your very kind notes. Hugs,

May 11, 2006

You are incredible. I’m not sure where to start, so I’ll pick out my top 5 absolute favs (no mean feat, considering the choices!): A Midsummer Night’s Dream, lullaby book (which I’d buy for baby showers), eagle costume, fantasy wedding, 2nd Will Shakespeare, and itty bittie. Okay. I chose six. Shoot me. LOL!

RYN: Glad you’re enjoying it! I think you’ll get a kick out of the 40s fashions as I post more pics. As for hardships, I think times change and troubles change right along with it.

ryn: thank you so much for stopping by and reading. I love your work and I will be back to read more soon. (Gotta go to work now) =) Take care,

So cool to see these! I actually came over from the Art and Artists board to see these. I wish I could help with the Snapfish thing there, but I’ve never used Snapfish, so I don’t know how it works. By the way, you can post the link to your IttiBitties site on the Spamalot board (which I think is way cool) and maybe get some orders 🙂 xxoo,

You are an INCREDIBLY TALENTED ARTIST! I’m in awe… tremendously beautiful work, especially the fantasy-oriented stuff. btw I came from you entry on the artists board to see your work, and I’m glad I did. (huggles)

Your work is amazing!

Your creativity makes me smile. Thanks for sharing with us!

Oh, how I enjoyed seeing these! What a multi-talented person you are!

You are incredibly talented.

Thank you for your note! I just watched “Chronicles of Narnia” lastnight and some of your work reminds me of it!

RYN:Yes, Like you I feel an optimist. There are so many wise people in your country that I’m sure things will change. I hope that they change too in Australia; many of our present policies are worrying.

i am always in awe of the wonderful and magical ways you express yourself. you truly have many gifts and the coolest thing is that you share them!

Thank you for letting me know you popped in. It’s okay that you’re quiet. I have been a little distant these days, or so it feels. My Girl leaves a week from tomorrow for 10 days away. Gak! At least I’ll be hideously (or gloriously) busy.

June 3, 2006

I was here before, but it’s wonderful to see these again 🙂 I wanted to ask a favor, if you don’t mind. I’m moderating the travel board here and someone is asking for Denver hotel recommendations. I’m clueless about Denver. Would you have a suggestion for her that you might be able to leave there? It’s the “Have a favorite lodging?” thread. Thanks so much, xxoo

I can’t believe that I am priviledged enough to own my own KA original – my itty bitty holding an OD book. I feel so special having something your extremely talented hands lovingly modeled. You are an amazing artist and person – how you can produce so prolifically is beyond me. I long to get back to art but my careers don’t allow any time. I do paint when I’m teaching art.

June 4, 2006

Amazing!

June 25, 2006

I like the illustration for Whispery Moon.

June 29, 2006
