i don’t often think of denver, but when the word pops up or someone posts pictures of colorado, my throat tightens and i remember my time there. it’s strange to think i lived in colorado almost five years ago and i’m reminded that our time is so short and fleeting. i remember thinking that going to school there defined me, that it was one of the biggest life changing things i could do. i look back on it now and shrug my shoulders. sure, it changed me but smaller things in the last two years have changed me more.

i miss it though. the mountains, my friends, the way the air smells.

i have been following through on things and committing to things. this is a big deal.

growing, growing, growing.
