i cut all of my hair off.
i didn’t write about it because it shocked me at the time even though i’ve been thinking about it for months. it’s still shocking to me but it’s also humbling and eye opening and considerably cooler. women are nicer to me, men don’t look at me, i don’t sweat as much when i run. i think i’m winning.
it’s strange to no longer have something that society equates with femininity. initially, i hardly recognized myself. i know that this is the place to put a picture, but i don’t have many and i’m not crazy about the ones i do have.
i’m not really sure how it looks. i can’t tell if it’s good or bad or simply different.
but i needed it.
i am registering for classes this week, i confessed something huge to my mom over dinner last night that i’ve not written or told anyone, i am trying to be patient and smile and take it easy on myself.
we need a picture 🙂

Guessing – BEFORE I could possibly have seen a picture… I THINK that your facial features are really likely to be brought-out more, and flattered by a sudden reduction in hair volume. I don’t mean/want to imply that (shorter hair, for all time, is automatically better for you) but I can sure imagine your appeal when eyes are caused to refocus

… on your soothing face, for a while, instead of always being drawn back to your mane. Although, as women are, you do likely owe it to yourself to share a flattering photo if you’re gonna share one at all. NOT that there is much room for “too picky” while waiting for some random stranger to take said photo. Move it right along then… LOL

(translation: ) That means that some random person on the street isn’t likely to take the best photo to display for you. (so you’re gonna have to see about taking it yourself)
