*running by with a quick hello!*
You don’t know how many times I mean to come here and write something but can’t find the time. I’m living in a constant state of catch-up… when I’m not bottle-feeding, I’m pumping & although I’m glad to do for Cannon… seriously it’s hard work to do both! When he’s sleeping I’m either one of 4 things:
1] Snuggling my baby or Napping myself {this doesn’t happen as much as it did in the early days because he’s sleeping a tad bit longer at night & I’ve cut out my night pumping, which leaves me at the point of boob-explosion in the morning, but is so worth the extra sleep}
2] Trying to catch up on chores {I’m constantly trying starting laundry, and starting dinner, starting the dishes, starting to put laundry away, starting to clean up the livingroom, dinningroom……. everything gets started… some things get finished}.
3] On the run somewhere… Dr’s, Tumbling practice or meets , Basketball practice or games, Archery practice or meets, getting the kids from school, running to the store for essentials {not like I can get much with the babe along for the ride}….
4] OR PUMPING. This only takes about 15-20 minutes, but finding that time is hard! Especially on our busy busy go go days. I’m thankful I have a hand pump because I’ve had to use that a few times {in the car!}… {although It’s not the best & is leaky {ugh} It gets the job done in a pinch} The machine I’m renting from the hospital is great, but it’s not hands free… I need to get a hands-free bustier.. because it’s so hard to just sit and hold the bottles to my boobs when I KNOW I could be multitasking other things!
I’m not complaining. I’m just telling you what my life is like right now…it’s a tad bit busy, chaotic, messy, rushed, but also incredibly blessed.
Just do not have much time for "extras" like OD, and TV and blow-drying my hair! These things must wait for the time being.
Totally understand! You do what you need to do — OD will still be here when you get time to post (well, hopefully it will be, LOL!!!). Have a great night!

I’ve always used pumping time as “me” time (as much as you can, while having to hold the darn things). I spend it online or reading a bit. It used to drive me crazy that I wasn’t multitasking but sometimes you just need that 15-20 minute down time! I loved the “boob-spolsion” bit. Totally get that!

A great tip I got when pumping was you don’t even have to buy a hands free boostier. Get an old sports bra(kind of tight if possible), cut small holes where your nipples are and stick the suction cups through there, and BOOM you have hands free pumping! It was like a miracle when I discovered that! 🙂
