Need baby product recommendations, please

So I just decided to start looking thru Target at all the baby items & making up a registry of things I’d like to get {not sharing it, I probably won’t have a shower, this will be nice if family asks what to get…but most things are big items that I want to get eventually}

Alot of things are different from 8 years ago when I had my last baby!

I have some questions on a few things I want to get… and have been reading over many online reviews, but thought I’d see if any of you had any recommendations of things that have worked for you. I’ll take all suggestions!!

  • Baby Monitor [I’m leaning toward wanting to get a digital one, since I remember the one I had with Kendall {analogue} , which worked fine, but always had a little bit of background fuzz] , And possibly one with a camera, although not necessary. But I don’t want a digital monitor to mess with my WIFI.
  • Best Thermometer for baby. I’d LOVE to get a temporal scanner… they seem so easy! Maybe too good to be true?
  • Most comfy sling for wearing baby around the house. I did have a MayaWrap with Kendall and DID NOT find it comfortable or easy to use. I’m leaning towards a Peanut Shell… any thoughts?
  • Most comfortable, easy to use breast pump?

I guess that is all I can think of for now. Can’t wait to see what you guys love!

I still love my ear thermometer from Braun. There are many brands now, and they’re a lot cheaper than they used to be (and just as easy as the temporal ones in my opinion). Been using the same one for 7 years. I don’t think I’ve ever had to change the battery, either! Breast pump… it was a Medela for me.

A moby wrap is good for a newborn. After that a ring sling is a good, portable and affordable carrier. A peanut shell is non-adjustable..which can sometimes cause issues. Ring slings are easy to customize. I can add you to the babywearing international page on facebook if you want. 🙂

I use an ergo sport harness & love it. have heard lots of mums say they love their Beco’s though. I didnt pump much so not the best. Id go digital monitor. I still use a braun ear thermometer & love it.

I didn’t have a monitor or sling for Ev. I’d go for the scanner thermometer! And I had a Medela pump and loved it.

Try a Baby K’tan! They are awesome and sooo easy to use. Most comfy baby carrier have!

hey, congrats!! i read you a long time ago! didnt know you were expecting! I have a beco gemini mai-tai style carrier, but its not great for newbies. for tiny babies i liked pouch style carriers.

ive had no problems with my used medela pump in style (1998, its a dinosaur). ive heard good things about hygeia pumps, too…though theyre expensive.

I use the Medela breast pump it is one of the best breast pumps out there when I went to my breast feeding class the lactation consultant said it was almost as good as the ones you rent from the hospital, and I got the backpack one so it can travel easily with me, I use the Lansinoh bags though being they can lay down easier to freeze saving room rather than having the medela bags that have to…
