Baby Acne ???

Cannon’s "rash" on his cheeks { that started around 6 weeks) has completely exploded all over his face, neck & head.  I keep searching for answers of course. I haven’t but lotion on him for a couple weeks.  I use free & clear laundry detergent. I don’t eat anything that would normal trigger a reaction.  He’s breasfed and my other two were not & they never got this.

Lot and lots of what I’ve read points to Baby Acne and that it’s most common with breasfed babies because of hormones.

It doesn’t seem to bother him, just looks horrible. I’ll talk about it with his pedi at his 3 month check up if he still has it.

I’ve tried putting breastmilk on it, didn’t notice a difference after a day.
I’ve tried using pure JoJoba oil, no noticable difference.

Currently I’m just not doing anything & hoping it clears itself.

Anyone have any experience with this?

My niece got that around 5 weeks old and it lasted for about a month, maybe two. It did look really bad but it cleared up completely after that. Her pediatrician said there wasn’t a whole lot you could do to make it go away any faster that he’d seen actually work. Craziness!

My son had baby acne on his face when he was a month or two old. It came out of nowhere and ended up disappearing a few weeks later almost as fast as it came on. It does clear up on its own. Although one thing I have found that was excellent with baby excema, was Aveeno baby cream ( the thick one). When he was about a year he had gotten patches on his legs of excema. It cleared it right up.
