slow & steady wins the race?

            As I said at the end of my last entry, Chris & I went out last Wednesday night.  He called me Tuesday around 8 to make sure I still wanted to go & I said yeah.  He suggested getting something to eat & maybe some drinks after & I told him that was cool w/ me.  So he told me he’d call me Wed after work to get directions to my house.  He called around 6:15 & I gave him directions & he said he’d pick me up at 8:00.

 

            He actually got to my house a couple minutes before 8, which was shocking to me b/c I’m used to people being (at least a few min) late.  We decided to go to Chilli’s cuz they have 2 for 1 drink specials lol.  So we bullshitted & ate, it was a little awkward at 1st (I was nervous & I think he mighta been too) but by the end of the meal it was pretty cool.  The waiter dropped off the check & Chris picked it up right away.  I asked him if he wanted any money, & he of course said no.

 

            We left there & he asked if I wanted to go to a bar & get drinks so I said sure.  We went to a bar I used to go to a lot, but hadn’t been to in over a year.  We sat on these couch thingys cuz it was more comfortable then the hard chairs at the bar.  He put his arm around me so we started cuddling & stuff.  He kissed me a few times too which was nice.

 

            He dropped me off around 12:30 (after a little more making out lol) & he told me to call him & let him know when I was free to hang out again.  At 1st I wasn’t too keen on the idea of me having to call him, but I figured maybe he was trying to see if I was as into it as he was, since HE had done all the calling so far.  I said OK & we kissed good-night.

 

            I myspace messaged him on Thurs morning & said “thanks again for dinner & drinks.  I had fun, hope u did too.  I’ll call ya in a few days.”  He wrote back & said he had fun too & he’d talk to me soon.  I decided I’d call him Saturday afternoon b/c I knew he had plans Fri night & Sun he had to work (side job).  I woke up Sat & he’d left me a comment telling me to have a good weekend & saying that he now had off on Sunday.

 

            So I called him around 2:30 on Sat but I got his voicemail.  He called me back about an hour later & we chatted for a few min.  He asked if I wanted to do something either Sun or Mon night & I told him either 1 was fine, so he said he’d call me Sun & we’d figure it out.  True to his word, he called me Sun afternoon.  He asked if I wanted to do something later on & I said sure.

 

            He picked me up around 9 & we went to *my* bar, partly b/c I wanted Brian to see me there w/ Chris which I know is SO wrong.  When we got to the parking lot, Brian & 2 of his chicky friends were standing outside of his car.  Chris & I walked past them & I totally ignored them.  We got inside & it was MUCH more crowded than usual.  We sat down at a booth & he asked if I wanted a drink so I told him Melissa would come over to us in a minute ‘cuz she waits on the tables.

 

            So we sat there bullshitting for 5 min & Melissa still hadn’t come over, so I suggested going to a different bar (it was too crowded for me & I felt a bit uncomfortable every time I looked over at Brian).  He was fine w/ that, so we went to a bar he usually goes to w/ his friends.  We split some food between us, but then I was getting pretty bored so I suggested playing pool.  He said sure so we we

nt & played a few games.  It was cool, he wasn’t 1 of those guys that feels like he has to beat the chick or else his manhood is in jeopardy, I *hate* guys like that.

 

            While we were playing, Kerry texted him & told him she was at a bar nearby w/ 1 of her friends & asked if he wanted to come.  He texted her back & said that he was playing pool w/ me so she told him we should both come.  So once we got sick of pool we headed over there & it turned out that 2 of his friends were there too.  So Chris & I stayed for 1 drink & then we left.  We made out in his car for a little while & then he took me home.

 

            When he dropped me off, he said we should get together Thursday (tomorrow) night to watch the 2nd Mets playoff game & I said sure.  He told me he’d call me on Tues or Wed night.  I haven’t heard from him as of yet, but it’s still early & so far he’s got a stellar record of calling when he says he will, so I’m not too concerned yet.

 

            I guess that’s it for now.  I’m working on an entry that’s more about my feelings & less about “I did this & then we did that” yadda yadda.  So that’ll be next time kiddies, I know it’s hard to wait but try to be patient (haha j/k).  ‘Till then, Happy end of Hump Day…
