Practice

My bestie and I went to Starbucks this morning. I ordered a tall mocha frap.

Just as my order came up, a guy popped up next to me and said, "We work at the same place."

"We do?" I ask.

"Yes, but I’m from San Francisco. I’m here cuz this is my financial territory." He Smiles.

"Oh. That’s nice."

Small talk ensues with general pleasantries.

At the end he asks for my phone #. I give it to him.

"Maybe we can do happy hour the next time I’m in town?"

"That would be nice," I say.

But… No, I’m not interested in him at all – he was rather obnoxious to be honest, but I thought it was good practice for me.

Bestie said I might be giving off the single vibe now. I just think it was the bright red lipstick and heels that got his attention. =/

On a side note… the ex and I text each other last night. We still have minor financial issues to resolve. Our text were pretty dry and to the point. At the end he says, "This is all so weird. I hope you’re doing well." It annoyed me.

WEIRD is an understatement. And FU… you know I’m not doing WELL! -_-

But I reply, "I agree. Have a good night."

I hope you don’t think that I am being obnoxious!!! I would hate to be that. But you know, it’s like what the title of your entry says, it’s practice for whenever you are really ready to have a guy that you like happened. 🙂 I like how Bestie said you might be giving off the single vibe. 😉 I think you handle it well with the ex last night. Good job. It is never that easy to handle ..

.. such a thing. And it is so hard to go from best friends in a relationship like that to even just friends, so I can so be like yeah, ugh, that is ****ed up. People always talk about others sending when you’re with someone or not, when they know nothing about you. I don’t believe that. If you’re attracted, you’re attracted. Whatever the case. Hope things start looking up and all can be sorted out with the ex with as little ache as possible.
