My ridiculous child

So last night i was getting the little one ready for bed, I had sent her to her room to look for books to read and had lit a candle in the livingroom where the husband was. I went in the kitchen which is right beside the livingroom) for about 30 seconds when I hear yelling and my daughter saying “HOT HOT”. The husband was zoned on a game on his phone and never noticed the little monkey was even in the livingroom with him. she comes running over to me with a stuffed bunny in one hand an a charred toothbrush in the other crying “hot hot mom”. Yes….my daughter had stuck her toothbrush in the candle and and burnt it. After she went to bed I got hysterical (laughing) about the incident because it was so ridiculous and I was so glad she did not burn herself. The husband said he looked over and she was waving around a flaming toothbrush, whoa!, makes you feel like an awesome parent. haha. This morning when she woke up she picked up her stuffed bunny she was carrying when she did it and kept saying “hot, hot” then found the toothbrush in the garbage and also informed me that it was hot. Oh man! The best part is that she is OBSESSED with things that are hot and will stand super far away and get super serious telling you that it’s hot. I guess she just needed to see if her toothbrush would get hot or not, and she found out!

ryn: I wouldn’t say groceries are cheap here. They really aren’t. $150 a week comes out to around $630 a month. That doesn’t include toilet paper or toothpaste or stuff like that. Also, it doesn’t include much meat (I only bought a package of chicken this time- I have a freezer full of grass-fed beef). When I buy bread, tortillas, crackers, and prepackaged snacks, the price goes up significantly. We used to spend $200 a week. I try to be thrifty and organize meals so there’s no waste. That’s why we usually have baked potatoes because you can load leftovers onto baked potatoes!

ryn: fortunately I’m on medicaid so everything including the birth is free. Michael hasn’t said whether or not he bought everything yet, I’m meeting with him next weekend to have the ‘talk’. Not exactly looking forward to it since he makes my skin crawl, but it needs done. I’ll let you know. Thank you for always thinking of me, I don’t know you but I think you are a very sweet woman and I’d love to chat more.
