mixing business with pleasure
Just got back from my first business trip. I felt like such an adult, dressing up, sitting in a conference room all day, getting a nice meal for free and having my hotel stay paid for…well…I felt like an adult right up until I realized that staying in a hotel room all by myself might be a little scary (not to mention a waste of a perfectly good hotel room!)
Yeah, I’m not going to lie, Kyle drove two hours north to stay with me. He brought a rose (yellow because he remembered that its my favorite color rose), a bottle of wine and himself. He was such a sweet guy to drive up to see me that I even let him watch the Championship football game on TV…lol. I don’t mind football when I’m with him.
So after a completely innocent night with him in a hotel I am still completely into him. I think it’s too late to reverse my feelings. He’s getting so much of my time now that he doesn’t even consider Phil in the picture anymore. I’m not even sure if I consider him in the picture anymore. Kyle is already talking about the far off future with me…and I’m not freaked out about it for some reason. I need to get over all this “love-sick over a new relationship” stuff and make sure that this is real before I lead him on too much further.
He used the “m” word last night…that’s right…marriage. Specifically he said he would ask me to marry him the year the Bengals win the superbowl. I laughed, smiled and told him that it sounds like he never wants to be with me…lol. He looked at me for a second and said, “I hope it’s next year.”
Yes, it was a nice thing to say and yes I know how much he loves the Bengals…but the “m” word…that’s just craziness. I have another business trip next week…same place, same empty hotel room, and hopefully same wonderful man in my bed with me.
Who dey!
this kyle guy sounds too good for words! i have a date with a kyle this weekend, hope it goes well 🙂 (provided im not sick and hacking everywhere….. ew) take care! 🙂
