What is fair really?
Currently I’m living with four other people two males and two females .[ Jason my boyfriend, Marcus, Alexis, and her sister Caleigh]. Out of the four people, I work with the other three of them in the heating and air conditioning business. It’s very interesting living with all of them I must say…which brings me the debate of the night.
Along with my roommates, I’m the proud parent of three cats…my babies. What can I say I’m an animal lover at heart. Anyhow, Marcus’ mother found a cute little miniature schnauzer at her work a few nights ago and had informed Marcus of the "homeless" pooch. So far there hasn’t been any luck with finding the owner to animal. Marcus’ mother took this dog to the vet to see if my some chance she might be microchipped. Unfortunately, the dog did not have one implanted. So what does Marcus decide to do? Well he decided to bring the dog to the house until the rightful owner was found.
Like animal instinct this dog didn’t bond too well with my kitties. It’s natures own course of path and I almost anticipated this would happen. My boyfriend on the other hand didn’t take too well at the dog barking at our cats. Let’s just say Jason could be called the "cat whisperer". He’s very much protective with his cats. So with the dog and the cats not becoming instant pals, Marcus has decided he will be taking the dog back to his mother’s home till we can figure out who the owner is.
Now Alexis has already gotten quite chummy with this little dog and would very much like to take care of the dog for the moment. The way our house is set up, the back portion of the house is where she lives. You could almost say she has her own little apartment at the back of the house. So now comes the debate of the night. She expressed her opinions to me at how she’d take really good care of the dog and keep her away from our cats. I sincerely believe she wouldn’t have any problems doing so and I really don’t have any problems with the idea. I just advised her for her to talk with Marcus and see what he says about it. I left her alone with Marcus on the porch for her to sell her big idea with him and see what he would say. I’m not sure just yet what was the outcome of the conversation, but I’m sure I’ll find out tomorrow what was said.
So between all of this Jason and I went round for round talking about dog staying. Needless to say, he doesn’t want the dog here….which ticked me off. For the most part, I try my best to be open minded and think things through before just making a judgement. I explained to him that it wasn’t fair for him to be that way. I mean come on…HELLO we only have THREE cats in the house. It’s only fair to allow Alexis the chance to care for an animal too!!! Besides Marcus used to have a great dane here at the house up until a few months ago when he had to put the dog down because of health issues with the dog. I only see if fitting to allow Alexis the chance. I think if we were able to handle a huge great dane than we can handle a little dog. The whole topic with Jason just pissed me off. He probably didn’t like my personal opinion on the matter but I DON’T CARE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! Where is the justice here??? Besides I’m not worried about this dog interfering with our cats. I know Alexis would watch him well. Jason’s only remark was " It only takes two seconds for the dog to get a hold of one of our cats and the cat will be dead." I swear he takes things to the extreme level at times. I love my boyfriend very much, but sometimes he can be over the top at times.
Oh well though, I guess we’ll see what Marcus plans on doing by tomorrow. He’ll either be a major ass about the whole thing or he’ll let Alexis watch over this dog temporarily. Uuughh guys can be real jerks sometimes!
