Dear DiaryMaster….I made a huge mistake! I inadvertently deleted my ODPlus diary! I thought I had logged in as the ODFree diary name I wanted to delete, but I was still logged in as my ODPlus diary name. Can it be retrieved? The diary name was Wysteria, and it was deleted 9/30/03 at 6:30pm MST. Is it possible to restore it? I’d be forever grateful if it’s possible…

I understand that you are the founder of TOD as well as OD. I sent a problem to the Diary Monitor and nothing is being done about it. A Diary by the name of Mephisto Marionette is blocking notes with his stupid picture and now he is tryin to hack into other people’s dairies. Please put en end to this so we may all write in peace!

yes i noticed that there was no problems wit the speed today but i realized that theres an extra menu bar under another menu bar and this cause html problem it makes the text some go to one side some in the center and some on the other side so dude i dunno what the problem is or if it is relevent to the extra menu bar but lookin into it ok Krys

Actually, I must confess …. after bitching and bitching …. all of my kinks seem to have been worked out. I still can’t edit entries, and the survey circles are still not working, but hell, I can live with that.

I sent you another email. About the new diary I sent a money order in for. I have not received it. I lose my diary in three days so I’d like to have another when that happens like I paid for.

Does the ‘Favorites Only’ feature mean that I can only read those diaries on my favorites list? Or does it mean that my diary is visible only to those on my favorites list, yet I can read other diaries that are not on private or do not have me blocked? And how can I tell if I have successfully blocked another diary? The name no longer shows up on my list.

Hey, DM, just a suggestion: I was privatizing some old entries today and it was kind of a pain to have to go through every single step for each set of entries. Is there a way to code the program so that you don’t have to do that — so you can just go through all the entries before you hit save? Not a big deal, but something to do in your spare time. (ha!)

wondering why i can’tput my sitemeter in an entry & why od is loading very very very slowly for me right now.

RYN: thank you for your note… I thought it might be too late… I do have a backup of all of the entries and will probably just bring them into this new diary, I will just lose the notes that were attached… a new start can’t be bad though… Oh and while I’m talking to you, let me say that I love OD, and you have done an absolutely beautiful job with the site… thanks, it’s great!

i can’t find the utility to import FOD faves into OD – help?

not sure what you call it but it would be nice to see the cursor default to whatever text entry box would make sense. like when loading the main page it should default to the box where you type your diary name. or on the search page it should default to the search text box. just makes sense and requires less tabing or mouse movement and clicking.

I hate to tell you this but you have a new OD bug. When I hit the menu bar, and go to write an entry, or read notes or whatever, the screen refreshes, and the menubar appears – but the rest of the screen is blank. I’ve counted as long as 10 to 15 seconds before the rest of the screen refreshes. Don’t ya just love new software?

DM I was wondering if you will be making OD+ subscriptions available to be paid through amazon.com once again?

Whenever I try to save an entry in Opera, I get this error: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error ‘80040e57’ String or binary data would be truncated. /entrysave.asp, line 216 When I try to save in IE6, it doesn’t work either. I’ve never had this problem before. It just started all of a sudden. Any clue why or what I can do to fix it??

Ok, I know you guys deleted the idiot I told you about, but if there is any ways to get back entries that were deleted, can you please post it up? He hacked into one of my diaries and deleted HALF my entries.

I am still having problems with the site loading up initially. It takes about five minutes sometimes. This has been happening since last week. Youre doing a fantastic job, man. Thankyou for taking so much trouble to make this site come alive.

I’m a normal OD user (not OD+), and the “Note History” button appears in the fancy javascript menu. It doesn’t let me in, but it’s there. Is this a bug, or are you teasing? 😛

Hi there I am having major problems with the WYSIWYG editor, and with the “edit this entry” function. Often this seems to log me off, or it will delete sections of my text, or God knows what else. Do you know if this is a widely experienced problem?

I don’t know why, but for a few days I have been able to leave enteries in my diary, but only a few. Just like today I put in some entereries and than I was trying put add one and it said page can’t display. Is it telling me that I can only put a certain amount in one day. Let me know what you think. I wish you would take private off your diary so you can leave me notes. Talk to you later.

Hey, is there anyway to move the diary menu closer to the top of the screen like you do? Ok, so there is cleary a way, but are you willing to share? It’s just with my diary, and others who remove the ads, when the ads are gone, the menu is more of in the middle of the diary page and covers partially up some things. I was wondering if there might be a way to adjust this by any chance, Thanks!

I have lost some readers because they can’t get the regular OD page (the one with ads) to load (these are dialup readers with passwords). I tried to log on to this way (via dialup) and also could not get the page to resolve. Is there any way to put an OD Reader Login on our odplus.asp page so we can send readers with passwords that URL? Thanks.

Is there a problem with the circles? Sorry, I can’t keep track of which things are supposed to be working and which ones are in the works. Anyway, when I go to the books circle, the most recent entry box shows up fine on the left, but the recent entries list on the right doesn’t seem to have anything to do with books. It’s like it’s picking up the recent entries from all circles.

Ok, so when are you going to fix the diary circles? They are all showing the same list of entries. They used to be seperated by subject, thus the different circles, but they aren’t anymore. Oh, about my subscription, have you gotten the cashier’s check I sent yet? I sent that like two weeks ago and my subscription is now sitting at -18 days.

my diary is not allowing me to save an entry, keeps telling me there’s an internal error on the site. i tried to save an entry on sunday night and it did the same thing, i thought time would fix it and it did it again today (wed). do you know what this could be? thanks. -MichelleRose

How come in the WYSIWYG editor when you do a return, it throws in three spaces instead of two? Is there any way to stop that? I notice this entry doesn’t do that. Did you do the entry in the old text box or with the WYSIWYG editor?

I am a Free OD user and the front of my diary doesn’t wanna work.. I used HTML & when I try to delet it it won’t do anything.. How do I fix this? Thanks Jenn

hey, er, i think there’s a problem with my fod, at the top, besides the normal menu bar, there’s another menu, and its underneathe the normal menu bar…it looks so weird. the normal menu bar is overlapping that menu. tt menu has “my diary”, “my notes” “favourites”, “random”, n “search”, all without any sub menus. could u help me check out wats wrong?

Ummm…on my computer the Free Open Diary menu bar won’t show up…but it used to…and it does on other peoples. What’s wrong and can it be fixed?
