Subscription Information and Renewals
We’ve added a new screen to your diary today, called Subscription Info. This screen will tell you when you started your diary, when your current subscription expires, and how many days are left in your current subscription. You can find this diary by clicking the (ever-growing) My Diary menu on the front page of your diary.
We’ve had many people ask us how they will be notified when it is time to renew their subscription, or if subscription renewals are automatic.
Renewals will not be automatic – they will require you going to the renewal page, and paying either online by credit card, or by mail.
We will not be sending e-mail notifications when subscriptions are due. When you are thirty days from the expiration of your subscription, you will receive a notice when you login to your diary. This notice will appear more than once during those thirty days. If you renew your subscription, the notice will go away and six months will be added to your subscription time (for those who are fans of accuracy, we actually add 183 days, not six months – to be fair).
If you do not renew, your diary will be blocked from being used when the subscription expires. The diary will remain on the system for an additional thirty days after that, so that you will have the option of renewing before it is removed from the system. Thirty days after the subscription expires, the diary will be removed from the site.
You may renew your subscription at any time – you don’t have to wait until the end of the term to do it. If you renew before your subscription is up, six months will be added to the end of the existing subscription – it will not add six months starting from the current date.
I think that covers it all, but any questions please let us know.
