Spamming Diary Circles

There have been several instances lately of diarists posting entries into diary circles, when the entries have nothing to do with the circle they are posted to. This is not only irritating to people posting in the circles, it defeats the purpose of the circles by diluting their content.

We can’t allow this to continue, as it is a misuse of the site. So, in the future, spamming of diary circles will result in the deletion of the diary entry in question by our staff. This statement only applies to a few people on the site, so if you’re not one of them please ignore it.

Also, a couple small changes today – we’ve added the “previous themes” page that lets you look at themes of the week from previous weeks, and we’ve made the fifty most recent reader’s choices available on the RC page, through links at the bottom.

Oh, and in keeping with the announcement from yesterday, the “Of Interest” section on the front page has been renamed to “Editor’s Choice” – as Editor’s Choice on Free Open Diary has been discontinued. We will, however, continue with this section as we were – we will be selecting individual entries that interest us, rather than selecting entire diaries for EC.
