Restore of notes for first 100

Hello – just wanted to leave an update on this situation. We were able to successfully restore the notes from the file for the first 100 diarists today. However, we are still working on linking them up to the entries they go with.

For linking, the only element we can work with is the entry title, since entry numbers have changed when entries were reposted or re-imported. It can be done, it just is going to take a little longer than expected.

However, we’ve put up a way for you to look at these notes in the meantime. If you are one of the first 100 diarists, you will see a link on the left side of your diary contents page that says “disconnected notes”. If you click this, you will see a screen like the standard Read All Notes page, but displaying the old notes. The notes are arranged in entry order, so they will appear basically like they did on the entries.

Please note: this list will include all notes you had in your diary at that time, including notes that were imported over from OD if you imported your diary.

The strategy I was going to use to hook these notes back to your entries is going to have to be modified somewhat – and I appreciate your patience while we get that working. Thanks.
