OD/OD+ Privacy Setting

We have added another privacy option today, for allowing only OD and OD+ users into your diary. Before now, if you wanted to allow OD users into your diary, you had to set your diary to Public, meaning anybody could read it.

The other options were Members only (open to only OD+ users), or Private.

The new options are:

• Public – open to anybody
• OD/OD+ Members only – open to only diarists from either OD or OD+
• OD+ Members only – open to only diarists from OD+
• Private – open only to yourself

This means that you can now set your diary to be available to OD diarists, without letting the rest of the world in.

Please remember to tell your OD friends (if you use this feature) that they must login to OD+ by clicking the “OD users login” link on the left side of the front page. Trying to login using an OD name and password in the regular login boxes on the page will not work.

In addition, we will soon be offering the same sort of user blocking options for OD users as you have for OD+ users – it should be available shortly.

To change this setting in your diary, click “Change Diary Description” on the “My Diary” menu.
