User Blocking
Several of our diarists have asked for an improvement to user blocking on the site. Until now, the only way you could block somebody from your diary was if you could access their diary (assuming you hadn’t been blocked), or if they left you a note.
We’ve added a third option, which you can find if you go to your “Blocked Users” page of your diary. This can be found by going to the contents page of your diary, clicking the “My Diary” menu, and then clicking “Blocked Users”. On the left side of the screen, you will see a new option, “search users”.
This will take you to a search screen, very similar to the regular OD+ user search screen. First, enter your search criteria and click the Search button. You will see the list of users matching your search criteria displayed, with a check box next to each one. By checking the box next to the user you want to block, and then clicking the “Block Checked Users” button, you will add that user to your blocked list.
I hope that makes sense, but if not, please let me know.
