Don’t have to wait after all

    After ransacking the website for the community college, it turns out that I’ve made a mistake while reading about how and when to apply for the fall semester. According to the site, I have to apply by June 15. Previously, I thought that the application deadline was on May 1. (I was looking at the wrong date.) So I could say that I will be starting school on August 25. The same date that my friends start  school, too. Yay ! No more feeling out of the academic loop for me!

    While looking around the site, I started to think about my future. What kind of career do I want? I thought that I  settled that issue a long time ago, but it’s just beginning. Right now I am thinking about a career as a mental health counselor. When it comes to science (like biology and chemistry), I like studying. I don’t know if I could handle statistics, but I’d just have to find out. Even if I don’t want to become a mental health counselor or psychologist. Plus, I want to help people.

    All I have to do now is finish the application and to have my old high school send my transcript. Hopefully, the financial aid can cover most of the costs. Higher education costs are going up including community colleges that are affordable. I have to say this because I am a geek: Hoorah! I can go to school again.
