saying, “thank you.”

"Every now and then I get a little lost

My strings all get tangled,my wires all get crossed

Every now and then I’m right up on the edge

Dangling my toes out over the ledge

I just thank God your here."

I can only hope that everyone at some point in their lives has someone they can turn to just to say,"Thank you.

Thank you for listening, thank you for being there, and thank you for just being you."

A few nights ago, I had a real bad dream…well, a nightmare.Dreams you hold onto, nightmares you let go of. I hadn’t realized this before until my "someone" answered my call.

All it took was one sentence. One sentence that made me "wake up."

I remember hearing the words,"take a deep breath,just breathe."

I guess being afraid, I hold my breath.

I remember going back over the dream over and over again in my head, trying to make sure my someone knew all the details.

I guess talking about it would help make me feel better.

The details I’ll forget but what I will remember is that one sentence,

"it’s over, and you’ll never have to have that dream again."

It may seem like a simple thought to some, but to me it’s a reminder. A reminder that monsters aren’t real, that feeling stupid about sharing thoughts is ok even when I’m scared.

A reminder that when I feel alone, someone is always there to make me smile,to make me giggle, and to make me realize that when I wake up, I never have to have that bad dream again.

I just hope that I remembered to say, "thank you."

"…the perfect thing to say to save me from myself

Your the angel that moves me like nobody else

And I thank God you do."

I chose the first and that last paragraph of this entry from lyrics to a song by Kenny Chesney.

The title of the song,

"You Save Me"
