Dear Eva and Miriam….

Among the three thousand twins that passed through Auschwitz, you were one of the very few pairs to survive the Mengele medical experiments. He made you call him "Uncle Mengele". He did horrible things to you as well as other twins. His experiments to change  eye color. He injected twins with chemicals.He did surgery without anesthesia , he transferred blood from one twin to another. He removed gentials, replaced organs and limbs. Just to "see what would happen". Yes his crazy experiments saved you from directly going to the gas chambers, but the torture he made you and so many others endure was plain evil. My heart aches for you, but I am glad you both survived. Your lives were wrought with illness, cancer. Who knows if it indirectly from the multiple injections you recieved. Emotionially tough too. I just wanted you to know though that I am sorry. So very so sorry for this happened to you. May the generations of your families rejoice in your survival.
