My First Entry

     Dear Diary,

     Well this is definitely a new thing for me, not that i have never tried to keep a record of my life at all, i have indeed. Unfortunately for me, i have never kept up with it, my life is as normal as normal can be. In other words, its uneventful. Boring to most if asked, i believe. But what the hey, i’ll give you a shot.

     I suddenly feel silly for treating this as though i were talking to a person. But its not so bad, to my surprise the more i type the better i feel about the idea. I am doing my best to take this project seriously, as keeping a diary is a good style of therapy for the mind and soul, or so i have been told. Don’t worry, i’m not a patient of a therapist or doctor who has been prescribed to keep a record to try to keep myself sane. On the contrary, this was my decision, though i have to say, as i mentioned before i want to be serious in this project, and as such i must be honest with myself as well as you, dear diary….i truly hope that wont be as big of a challenge as i believe it to be.

     I gave decided to keep a diary to help me from becoming depressed. Selfish, yes. I got married in August of 2012 and i have left everything dear and familiar to me behind in California when i moved to Nebraska with my husband in September. And as such, one cannot help but get depressed sometimes in a new and different place which is to become my new home. Please don’t get me wrong, i do not regret getting married. I love my husband very much, and i believe that the reason i feel what i feel, is because of the pace in which everything took place. A story i will save for another entry. 

     And there i go, talking about my life already without giving you so much as my name. If this were a first meeting with a real person, you would think me to be quite rude, sorry! >_<

    My name is Mayra. I was born in December of 1990, which makes me 22 years old. I have brown curly hair, brown dull eyes, and have an average body. I am happily married, no kids yet, and we live near Omaha, Nebraska. I have a great interest in literature and art. I draw, sketch, paint, and i try to be creative with little things i come across. My favorite color is purple, my favorite animal is the elephant, and i love waffles, butterflies, music, and reading.

     My husband’s name is Kurt, and we have been married now for about 8 months, and we have been happy so far. Kurt is in the Air Force, and works in Intel. He loves video games, and computers. He can be a real nerd sometimes, but that is what makes him so interesting and fun. We have known each other since my first semester at our college in 2009, and we have been together ever since. He is my best friend, and i cannot imagine how i got along with life without him.

      Well, i suppose that’s all for now. I cant really say much more than that. Again, i will do my best to keep up with this project. Until next time!
