. blessed .

Damn, we’re blessed. How often can I say how great my life is? Never too often, I’m sure.

Technically My Love and I are polyamorous. Our relationship is open and we are free to date (or just love on) others as we desire. But we’ve been so into each other the last couple of years that neither of us has. We’ve hooked up with others together a few times, we’ve gone to play parties, but we haven’t dated others on our own really since we’ve been together. We’re just so much into each other and having a home together! It’s freakin’ fantastic. We are both kind of working on our upstairs neighbor and dear friend, though.  *grin*

So yesterday I went to the bookstore and got a book on small business start-up. It’s got a lot of good information on the types of registration and licenses I’ll need to start my infant massage business. I spent a lot of time brewing on a name for my business, too. We’ve come up with one I really like and I’m just going to let it sit for a while to see if it’s the right one.  This is really exciting, gearing up to have my own specialized business! The market is pretty much open for me, there’s no competition, and yet so many people are open to this idea. And there’s always new moms and babies, aren’t there? The potential is practically endless.

On a change of subject… Burning Man. We’re not going this year. We had too much going on, selling my house finally, moving, flying to the midwest to visit my family last month. Too many expenses. We could have probably pulled it off but it seemed just smarter to spend the month of August, our first month in our new place, settling in and just BEing rather than running around and getting ready for the burn. It’s kind of fun, for the first time in three years, to be sitting here watching everybody around us go crazy getting ready! Everyone’s leaving by this weekend, so the projects, packing, sewing, glue gunning, obtaining blinky objects, is all in full force! Everyone’s kind of stressed out. One of my friends, Sexy Bitch, his house is functioning as a staging area for their camp’s things so people are spending hours upon hours there, using my serger and sewing machine, there’s fabric and pillows everywhere, clothers, wings, LED’s, bikes, domes, wire and more fabric for their project on the playa this year. I’m sad we’re not going to be able to see the manifestation of their temple, I’m sure it’s going to be beautiful. I’m also sad we’re not going to be on the playa with all of our dear friends and neighbors, but as it goes…. perhaps next year.

Speaking of neighbors, I’m constantly in awe of how many dear friends I have living so close! Two upstairs in our fourplex, four others within a block, four others within three blocks, and countless others within a mile. So many great shops and stores within walking distance, too. Living in the city has been a great experience so far… and it hasn’t even been barely two months! We are less than five minutes (driving) from downtown, straight down the street we live on. Such a variety of colorful people around. 😉

Well it’s time to be productive. Can’t sit in front of the computer all day.
