. pizza .

I don’t know what the deal is with this key situation.

My Love had two extra keys made yesterday. And neither of them work! Now those are the 2nd and 3rd keys he’s had made that don’t work in the lock. But the one I orginally had made worked fine. And of course the original works. Now why would that be? Admittedly the lock itself has a couple of quirks but geez. How annoying.

And this morning when he left for work he accidentally took… you guessed it, the only key! So unfortunately I had to slightely revise my plan for the day. That’s okay, at least then I’ll hopefully get some more stuff done around the house.

On a different subject, The Man of My Dreams forgot to eat most of yesterday. He does that frequently and I don’t really get it. How can you forget to eat on a regular basis? He got up around noon and ran a bunch of errands around town all day, getting keys made, picking up coffee and taking care of work details, things like that. And then he comes home, all of a sudden ravenously hungry because he’s been running on empty all day. And what does his body scream out for? Pizza!

Now we have been eating really well lately. As food isn’t really one of My Love’s priorities, I make sure to have lots of healthy food around, whole grains and vegetables, protein, and a general variety of whole foods. I cook all the time and feed My Baby whenever possible, making sure he eats ’cause I know he forgets sometimes. (?) The other day I spent six hours making the most delicious Mulligatawny soup, even making the chicken stock more or less from scratch. We spent over a year eating out almost three meals a day while I was preparing to sell my house, so I am going crazy in the kitchen now. But last night he wanted pizza so we hopped on the scooter and headed to the nearest New York style pizza place, complete with red-checkered tablecloths.

A few hours later, he crashed… hard. And he lamented the fact, wondering why he was so tired all of a sudden. I said, "I know why you’re tired."

"Why?"

"What’d you have to eat today?"

He drops his head onto his forearms, lolling it gently back and forth. "Pizza," he says in a voice tinged with regret.

I gently reminded him as I often do, that eating is a necessary part of maintaining life and health, and I am concerned about his frequent oversight, and please would you just eat already? Geez.

Silly boy. Sweet, sexy, silly blue eyed boy.

I forget to eat until I’m sick and then I realize “oops, kinda needed to eat something today” and by then I eat whatever’s quick and easy before I black out. *laughs* <3
