Monday…

Ok – I’m totally new at this sort of thing, unlike my wife who is very
eloquent and fluid with the words. Anyway, it’s Monday and I’d know it
even if I didn’t have a calendar. One of my co-workers is on vacation
so it means more work for the big bearded one. Not to mention that I’m
on call so I’ve been getting pages all weekend. I’m not complaining,
well I guess I am a bit but I’m just very thankful to have a job. I
guess I just need to bitch about it sometimes.

On a much
brighter note, we went to the Sybaris this past weekend. The Sybaris,
if you don’t know, is a romantic getaway hotel with a pool and hot tub
in your room. I had a delightful time, really connecting with the Mrs.,
just talking and laughing and listening to music. Really wonderful.
Then we went out to dinner afterwards and I had a delicious salmon. It
was a great time until she had too much food and started to feel sick.

Let’s
see what else is going on, I bought tickets to WWE’s Smackdown, which
is coming to Chicago on April 12th, which is my wife’s birthday(!). She
decided she’d rather go to Florida than to visit the squared circle
again so it’ll be my son, a close friend and myself. We got great
seats. Should be a fun time and from where we’re at, we might make it
on TV.

Amsterdam was fantastic! I can’t wait to go again. The
people were so nice, polite, friendly and helpful. Clean streets with
buildings older than this country. Saw Rembrandt paintings, how
diamonds were cut, took 2 cruises down the canals, one a 5 course
dinner cruise and had the Heineken experience. Not to mention the
delightful coffee shops.
The best part was everyone got along. Not
that I expected any trouble but none of us had ever done anything like
this ever. I must say thank you GOD for letting me do this and thanks
to my wonderful Mrs. for finding this deal and encouraging me to go.
