Another concert

I go for my boys.

What I endure is watching people ignore me. The “friendships” that used to be all clamoring around the ex and her husband, no hellos to me.

No happy holiday or Merry Christmas, nothing.

My sister and brother-in-law are here, guess what? They are all sitting together.

So I’m 53. Time to grow up, mature, grow some hair on my nuts.

Fuck them all. I don’t need them

Maybe next concert or event, call/text your sister ahead of time, or her husband, and tell them you’d like to sit with them and to save you a seat. They may have gotten so used to you saying no for several years that they just assume you don’t want to be with them, even now that you are ready.

As for the others, fuck ’em. Some people are stupid and clique-ish and herdish and never grew out of having to be in theĀ  ‘popular crowd’ days of high school. Ignore them. They’re shallow people you don’t want to be friendly with anyway. As you heal, you will find real people, good people, to fill your life. They’re out there.
