Almost finished my novel! Woohoo!

I’ve been writing nonstop and I’m at 45,655 words! My goal was 50K words, but once I reach that point, I don’t care how much it goes over that word count, if any at all.

I didn’t write at all on Sunday, but otherwise, I’ve been waking up thinking about my characters and where I am in the story, and by the time I’m dressed and have my coffee ready, I’m raring to type before I forget what’s in my mind. I’ve been writing nearly around the clock. After the book goes into editing and pre-order, I will post the first chapter here. I am SO excited about this book!

I expect I will be finished tomorrow, but I needed a break tonight. I wrote about 5000 words today, but one chapter was all about a funeral (for a dog that got buried in a human casket in a human grave because otherwise the grave was going to be used by the mistress of the main character’s husband, so she wrangled back the grave and buried a beloved dog with a human name.) The mistress showed up to the funeral, of course, and claimed she knew this guy so well, and once was engaged to him lol.

So, even though it was the death and funeral for a dog for a couple chapters, it felt quite heavy, despite some levity, so tomorrow I will write the last few chapters that will be much lighter and funnier.

I am so happy that I’m writing again.
