I am about to just say fuck it. There’s got to be a way to live as a bum. I’ve walked into a shit show and I am the only one who can fix it and I have no ambition for this place.
All I asked was for a 40 hour week. Enough to eek out a living. But no. 32 hours and shitty shifts like this picking up after entitled jokes of young adults. My only relief? A broken arthritis ridden overweight entitled woman. This is going to suck ass for 8 hours
And how would being a bum allow you to see and provide what you want to provide for your boys? Nope, sorry, you do not get to say fuck it and walk out. You look for and you land a new job before you say fuck it. Your current job was always intended as just a bridge to something better, so you only have to put in the minimal effort to stay employed. And of course they’re going to limit you to 32 hrs so they don’t have to provide you benefits, a typical retail maneuver. Start looking for something different and get out of retail hell. There is so much more you could do that would be more fulfilling. But you have to be open to it instead of hunkering down in what is known and comfortable. Driver, CNA, customer service, parks, PCA, shipping, warehouse, para in schools, hospital aide, etc etc etc.

I hate work…. I have thought the same thing due to working;Â “maybe I can buy a plot of land way up north and just live off the land away from this shit show.”
