Entry 2
I feel like praying to God is pointless. What makes me better or more deserving of mercy than others? Children are being massacred on the other side of the world and millions are living in worse conditions so why would God pay any attention to my cries if theirs have gone unanswered for so long? I am a lowly tapeworm in God’s intestines. Despite all this, I still pray, cry to it every night and fall to my knees in desperation. How human and maybe even selfish of me.
Why is it a God would let carnage happen to other people who believe in God, but answers me when I lose my car keys. Aren’t we privileged with our white God.
Warning Comment
Praying is pointless, but having faith and hope in something a little more tangible might produce better results. We need to place our hope that the human race and have faith that they will one day stand up to the injustices that goes on. One day things will get better but only when we help one another rather than appeal to a higher being that likely doesn’t exist. Cheers,
@peter_24601 I believe in a higher being, however, I am unconvinced that it is worthy of worship. I have faith in its existence, but not in its ability to change the world. My faith in humanity is dead, we are not capable of realising our errors and changing our ways. We are predisposed to act selfishly and without regards for others.
