It’s been a long while since I last wrote…and a lot has happened. I’ve just been feeling totally drained, mentally and physically by all of it.

Sunday, was my nephews birthday…I went and everything was fine…I’ll go more into details in another entry, but the biggest event was that, while my sister and I took my grandma out to a new restaurant for lunch, she had, what appeared to us to be a seizure. We both thought, at her age of 88, the worst. We took her to the ER, long story short, she was admitted to the hospital for observation and was released Monday evening with little-to-no changes except some very minor medication changes. It was a VERY long weekend.

I had a shit show of a wedding on Saturday that maybe I will touch on in another entry when it’s not so late as well.

So I spent all of Sunday and Monday in the hospital with my grandma, around 20 hours total…and then Tuesday I had appointments, Wednesday I taught at the school, yesterday I had appointments in the salon, and today was a half day at the school and tomorrow morning a wedding…and then I leave Wednesday for vacation to see my mom. I NEED A VACATION. I also need to see my husband.

I just wanted to write and update and not get in the habit of just neglecting this space. It’s just been…MUCH lately.

I did start a course on Trichology and that’s been really interesting.

I went out for drinks tonight with my roommate, old salon owner and her husband. They are trying to convince me to come back into their salon. I’m not sure still…and for how long I’ll be here, who knows?!

So many things…I’m getting tired and should be getting to bed for this wedding that the bride has just decided to not answer my phone calls or messages or emails to reply to me with a time. On our original contract it says 8…Wednesday evening she told me she has the opening for the house at 10. I had sent her a message Monday to confirm location and time and everything and got nothing. No return calls, no return messages…and same thing yesterday and tonight. I need to know if I am expected to do 4 peoples hair in the matter of 2 hours when it was initially suppose to be 4 hours of prep time…because she has to be ready by 12.

Anyway. My roommate and the owner of the salon who is now also a really good friend and I are suppose to do this “Witches on Paddleboards” thing here in town. We plan to decorate and get our costumes tomorrow after the wedding. We will see how that goes!
