Who was your first crush?

I have two:

K___ S_____; Kindergarten. I’m pretty sure I liked him back, I just didn’t understand that was the case. He was in my class and rode my school bus. But EVERY day on the bus he would serenade me with “You’ve lost that loving feeling” or “Kokomo”-now what I didn’t realize literally until this year (2024) is that he was actually reenacting the scene from Top Gun and Cocktail. He had older siblings who were clearly OBSESSED with Tom Cruise. In the moment I was mad, I would get off the bus mad or crying because he would not stop singing those two songs. Now, I feel honored, especially after watching the movies. So cheers to Aruba, Jamaica…..

S___ McM___; we’ll keep his full name anonymous because honestly you never know who might stumble upon this. But it was in the 4th grade. He had blonde hair and reminded me of Sean from Boy Meets World. Not only was I his “girlfriend” but so were THREE of my friends. THREE. What was that like? Constantly having to spend recess inside having “therapy” sessions with these three other girls trying to navigate friendships. Looking back; he was a little peckerhead who wasn’t worth it.  What happened to the trio of girls? We stayed friends throughout elementary school, and one I am currently friends with.
