Here’s the thing about procrastination, so long as you don’t decide to start doing what you need to do now, you’ll never start!

Someone once told me the only thing that’s doing the thing, is doing the thing. Planning to do it, reading about doing it, imagining the results of doing it, telling someone that you want to do it is not doing it!

Procrastination brings momentary satisfaction and almost permanently affects us in the long run, greatly or in a small area on our lives. This in turn provokes anger or a sense of disappointment when one does not end up yielding expected results of a particular task.

To deal with procrastination one doesn’t need to jump in to doing the work, the first thing one should to is to place themselves on a position to do the work: get out your laptop, step into the gym, get into the library, take out that pen and paper to scribble your journal! Whatever it is you need to do, just position your self, you’ll automatically have the natural desire to fulfill that task even if you hadn’t intended to. Positioning ones self exposes the brain to want to start doing the work! Isn’t it amazing how the human brain works!

Get up, position yourself and see your own body work in your favor! And remember: A little sleep, a little slumber and poverty will knock at your door…

I like this… I have extreme issues with procrastination and I like how you’ve put this. I’ll have to try it, it sounds like it really could help. Thank you!
