Man, so my friend Kassie has been dealing with cancer for quite awhile and she has this benefit thing happening for her today where she lives in Wyoming but she’s in Arizona getting treatment so she writes this blog post on this website revolving around the treatment to share with the people interested in the benefit on the Facebook event page. I read it and think about Open Diary. I don’t know when the website shut down but I downloaded my diary on one of my old computers and assumed this space was gone forever.

Well, I go to Google and try to figure out if somehow there’s a way to access the old website or something and here is opendiary.com, fully functioning, and I can restore my account and my entire diary, lol…wow. My mind was absolutely blown. My last post was at the beginning of 2014 right before this entire chapter of my life even started and it’s gone full circle.

I met my girlfriend on Open Diary in 2005 and we became good friends. In 2013 we began a relationship and I moved about 250 miles away to be with her in April 2014 and here I am over 10 years later.

Back in the earlier internet days, I started here in 2003, blogs like this were in their infancy and the internet was a more innocent place to me. Probably to everyone. I’m now 43, I was 21 or 22 then, but here I am doing the same thing I was doing 15-20 years ago.

I had actually been wanting to write, and thinking about writing, maybe even a book or something and Open Diary pops back into my life. Incredible synchronicity.

I’m not sure where this will go but I’m writing this post for myself as intention to move forward in a positive direction.

Welcome back. You’re on my friends list but I honestly don’t remember much from that long ago. In any case, after 10 years we’re both probably slightly different people now (maybe more than slightly? Definitely in different places of life now). I’m on sporadically, feel free to come say hi. =)
